Which Sports Car are YOU?

I'm a Lotus Elise!

You believe in maximum performance and minimum baggage. You like to travel light and fast, hit the corners hard, and dance like there's no tomorrow.

I'm on the verge of being one of those people who forward things. Those who know me and receive email from me know I NEVER forward things. No matter how cute, how funny, or how much luck I will receive, or validating my faith, I NEVER do. Anyway....I thought this was fun - especially the "high maintenance question."

Happy Friday everyone....

What would you request for your "Photo Shoot"

I receive IN STYLE magazine and this month's cover featured Debra Messing in a BEAUTIFUL Prada gown. I loved the dress so I shuffled through 30 pages of advertisements to get to the page where they talk about the Cover Photo Shoot. So I found out she was decked out in Prada and Tiffany Jewelry (I won't EVEN mention the Tiffany Atlas necklace I discovered in Aruba...). What what I also read was that they ask her what music she would like to have played, foods she would like to eat while on the shoot, and reported on what she wore to the shoot.

OK, so I pose the question to you, TLTDaM Readers and myself.

  • What would you wear to the shoot?
  • What would you request for music to your photo shoot?
  • What snackages would you like to have?
  • Any other special requests?

I would probably wear...my yellow box flip flops, khaki pants, and my green shirt that my sister borrowed three days ago.

I would request to have Vivaldi (*wink), Dave Matthews Band and Jennifer Lopez music. (HAHAHA)

I would request Dasani Bottled Water (GAG Evian) and fresh strawberries dipped in godiva chocolate

A special request? I would request a foot massage post-shoot to soothe my aching feet after the horrendous 20 inch heels they just put my feet in. Then I would feel sorry for myself because I had to do that all day instead of documenting software issues.

Staring at the blank page before you....

LOL I can't think of a thing. But who in the house is digging the groovy tunes I added to my blog?? Thank you to Ninutey for helping me (and removing the song I had selected with explicit lyrics so my dad doesn't have to hear the f-word)

Remember: The rest is still unwritten.

Tonight's news.

Tonight...in the news, with Ally..................

Ok since when did Easter Egg Hunts become more than...hunting for eggs? Two children very close to me under the age of 8 hunted for candy and cash prizes all weekend in the form of Easter Eggs. Today's society has just completely turned a new leaf -- or shall we say egg? Back in my day we colored real eggs only to hide them the next day. We would search for these eggs in a huge competition knowing that one of them would go missing until the smell...of rotten egg...gave its secret location away.

Also in egg news, did you know that now they make the little plastic eggs with little holes in them. Why? So little kids don't suffocate themselves. Toys are dangerous...read the 2000 statistics www.cpsc.gov/library/toydth00.pdf

Speaking of toy news...Have you ever played Call of Duty 2 on the xbox 360? I am hooked. I'm thinking of asking my sister if I can move into her basement.

Household feature: I managed to get my homelink system to where each button would only open ONE garage door. It was a miracle.

OK so my creative mind is officially in a super slump.

The greatest comeback....

Do you ever think of the perfect comeback for someone being mean or nasty to you waaaaay too late after the fact? I do that all the time..."Oh I wish I had thought of that!!!" Maybe I'm not as "witty" on my feet as some. Maybe the words that I need to say just don't come as easy.

Why is that?

OOO wanna see what I found on my cruise?

All I meant to do today

Must wait until tomorrow. Seriously I hate that. I had a lot planned and then *poof* I get home from work at 11:15 PM and am zapped.

Do you procrastinate? What makes us do that? I am procrastinating right now. I really don't want to go get a shower and figure out what I'm going to wear tomorrow. I don't want to iron it or dry my hair.

All I meant to do today must wait until tomorrow.

Remember: it is recommended that you get 8 hours of rest every night.

Back to reality....a potpourri of things

Sunday - it took us all day to get home. We got home around 9 PM and both had to be up for work the next day.

Congrats to my Dad!

My sister leaves for the beach tomorrow -- I wish I could go with her.

Congrats to S&K M and Mr. Eli.....oh the mystery!

And tonight I go to bed with the following quote in my head. I saw this on a billboard in the airport....

"They're only obstacles if you can't see around them"

There is truth to that quote. Obstacles are completely overrated.

Day 7 - St. Thomas

Our last day.

Hoosband and I had been to St. Thomas before. We had done an island tour. We decided this time we would just go and veg with Connecticut Ken and Barbie on Megans Bay Beach. We stayed there for a few hours and just took in the rays. It was a nice beach but certainly not one of "the most gorgeous places on earth". It was $8 to get to the beach $3 to get ON the beach and $16 to rent chairs. A little overpriced if you ask me. Those prices are PER PERSON.

The rest of the crew met us at the beach after parasailing and shopping.

We decided to go shopping ourselves so we headed back to the ship for lunch. We went to the on board Johnny Rockets. The best part was the view. We were overlooking the port in St. Thomas with all of the sailboats and other yachts. Lovely!

We headed to the port shops and just looked around. Its official. There are a lot of jewelry stores in St. Thomas. I will not bring up the Tiffany and Co Atlas Rope necklace.

After boarding the ship, we split up. Some went to the helicopter pad to watch us sail away and then down to the hot tub. Others went to pack. It is afterall, time to go home. :(

Dinner was bittersweet.

We had such a great week....I can't believe it was time to go home.
