Alone time...
I hear the humming of this computer and air pushing through the vents in my family room. I should be in bed right now...that clock beeping in exactly 6 hours is trecherous!!! But this is a rare moment in my day -- all the bottles are washed, everything is ready for tomorrow (or as ready as it can be)...Everyone is fed, everyone is clean, everything is pretty much picked up, lunches are packed, everyone is asleep -- and will be asleep for a while...and here it is -- my alone time - and I feel guilty for loving this small peaceful moment of my day.

I know that the big thing is to "live with no regrets." But I really don't think its possible to not have one "do over" moment. As we grow up/older and learn the right things to do, we better ourselves. The next day, the next week the next decade we gain a whole new perspective. So SURELY we have learned something post-event right? And in those learning experiences we now have "something we would do differently." So isn't that somewhat of a regret? I am talking in circles.
I have this one person that I would just like to start over with...I think we would have been GREAT friends if we had just started out on a better foot -- maybe the right instead of the left. We have a lot in common and its funny I find that MANY times we agree on many different topics. She is also a blogger and many times she is writing on topics that I have said the exact same thing. Should I ask her for a "do over?" I want to!

Vox Hunt: Fine Art

My (now) husband at the time boyfriend and I went to Orcas Island for a holiday trip with his family. It is a GREAT island about 4 hours from Seattle. We went into town and discovered a little art gallery called Darville's Rare Print Shop. http://www.darvillsrareprints.com/home_files/aboutus.htm When I saw this painting (In the Park) I exclaimed "Oh look honey its me and you and [our dog] when we're old.
Two years later, my husband got me this rare painting from Rie Munoz as a wedding gift.
It sits under a park like bench with a tree beside it in our entryway.
I still love it to this day.
