Women of the world UNITE

Ladies -- grab 3 of your friends...go have lunch. And remember that 1 out of every 4 women get breast cancer. My Mom is a breast cancer survivor. My Aunt is going today for her lumpectomy. There is just too much of this. Every year, I do the Race for the Cure and get emotional seeing all the women in pink -- knowing all they have gone through. Chemo treatments - surgeries - blood drawings - dr visits - family counseling - personal dispair. There are other victims of breast cancer too. OH YA and to the guys reading this blog -- guess what you are not immune to this.

If you're a praying person, I ask that you pray for my Aunt and everyone with Cancer today and for those in remission who are hopeful it will not return (my Mom).

Who gets breast cancer?

Anyone can get breast cancer. For example, did youknow…

the older a woman is, the more likely she is to get breast cancer?

white women are more likely to get breast cancerthan women of any other racial or ethnic group? They also have a better chance of survival, primarily because their cancer is usually detected earlier.

African American women are more likely to die from breast cancer than white women

Men can get breast cancer too, although it is rare. Less than one of every 100 cases of breast cancer in the U.S. occurs in men.

in 2004, it is estimated that men will account for 1,400 cases of breast cancer.
