Looking Glass

I see you through a looking glass,
Someone so awesome yet unreachable...
To me you are larger than life
But also vulnerable and kind.
Bittersweet moments pass between us and
the pieces of you, create for me
a color that dances beyond my reach....
I am halted by the clear
obvious glass between us.
As time engulfs our lives...
The brilliant colors will fade...
And we'll have our memories of
what was once so beautiful.
