Aveda - Customer Service

People who know me, know that I'm a little nutty about my hair and even nuttier about customer service. I fix my hair every day and being in a professional service roll for my ENTIRE professional career -- I have a little knowledge in both areas.

My (former) favorite line of hair care products - Aveda has seriously tanked. My Mom and I used a product by Aveda called Hang Straight. Then they started a new line of glossier (GREASIER in my opinion) products and phased out Hang Straight. She and I have purchased every bottle we can find on Ebay --we've cleared the shelves across two countries trying to find the last drop of Hang Straight. I put my foot down and said I'm not doing this anymore; eventually the shelves will empty and there will be no more. So we have been looking for a new straightening product ever since.

I got an email from Aveda and they were asking for a product review. Since I was having a bad hair day, I decided to offer my opinion of the new product:

My mom and I purchased all of the hang straight on ebay -- now I'm shopping outside Aveda lines to find something that will smooth out my hair but not make it look greasy. I've used Aveda -- and only Aveda since 2003. This just isn't a comparable product to the original. :(

My response:

I didn't mention other brand names. Hang Straight is an AVEDA Product....er WAS an Aveda product and many people have mentioned it in their reviews.



I'm just frustrated...with the service and with the Brand. Do you know what that means? A LOST CUSTOMER.
