Today SUCKED.
Sorry for the language but it did. UGH. About halfway through my lower back muscle on the left side just cramped up and took my breath away. I kept going but didn't go near as far as I did last time. It was really cold and my legs were cramping up too. I think I need to do more stretching when its this cold out.
The one thing the muscle cramps really showed me is that I have crappy posture when I am running. I tend to thrust my upper body forward. After my back started hurting, I really concentrated on lifting my upper body UP and engaging my abs really hard. This cut down my stride quite a bit but it felt good to run that way and my back didn't hurt!
On to Week 2 Day 2...No little muscle cramp will stop me....on Friday!
